Rachel Has Problems

Rachel has problems...

...Welcome to my new blog!

Yes, I have problems. I've accidentally wiped my computer hard disk with no back up of my data, found out that an electronic drum kit I was close to purchasing in January is no longer in stock anywhere because of the "current situation" and my smartwatch keeps disconnecting from my phone (how frustrating). Alongside these slightly infuriating problems, I have some other much bigger challenges/difficulties that I like to consider problems. Allow me to introduce myself...

Hi! I'm Rachel!

As James Bond didn't say numerous times, "The name's Owens, Rachel Owens." There's probably two big things you need to know about myself... a) I'm transgender (or at least just starting my journey) and b) I'm still very much still closeted, only a few of my friends know about my true self. You may have questions, so do I... many many questions that I hope to explore in future posts as I come to terms with my identity.

Why the blog?

Recently my anxiety levels have been through the roof, and I hope that posting in this blog will help me to worry less. I was also recommended by one of my friends to start a blog as a place to keep all of my recollections. Diary's have never been my thing, maybe blogging will be?

Apologies in advance

I would like to apologise in advance for if I moan too much or sound like a broken record saying the same things over and over. I'd also like to apologise for any technical issues you may or may not encounter when browsing the blog. I've written this whole blogging platform from scratch during the UK coronavirus lockdown. The platform isn't fully finished and you may notice some things move around slightly, but I'll try and keep major changes minimal, and update you when significant changes are made.

Finally thank you for taking the time to read my first blog post. I hope that it's a good introduction to the blog and myself and I'm sure I'll be posting more soon!

Stay safe,

Rachel x
